E ku‘u Tūtū, Aloha Nui ‘Ia Lyrics
It is with great pleasure that we present our second musical CD, entitled, E Ku‘u Tūtū, Aloha Nui ‘Ia. Music has a powerful way of connection generations and perpetuating culture and communities. It is our hope that this music will nurture this bond, convey the wisdom, richness and knowledge of our kupuna (elders) and all that they hold dear to their hearts, and, a legacy will be passed on to our future generations. Specific songs were selected by kupuna who remember singing them as young children and wanted to pass them on to their mo‘opuna (grandchildren). These songs have brought much aloha to their hearts, and we hope they will continue to live in the hearts and minds of our keiki for many years to come. We have included songs written by our Tūtū and Me staff and sung at our Preschool sites. These songs teach concepts that are important for our children to learn.
It is our earnest hope that this compilation will provide many opportunities for your ‘ohana to learn, laugh and sing together. May the songs be a blessing to you and your ‘ohana.
