Angella Brandt

Project Director

Angella has been a resident of Honoka‘a, where she was raised, for the past 30 years. She is also employed by the department of education at Honoka‘a High and Intermediate School as the Student Activities Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Hawaiian Studies from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. She also holds a Masters Degree in Curriculum Development from Heritage College.

In addition to her job as student activities coordinator, she teaches leadership training and has served as site coordinator for the 21st century grant at Honoka‘a High and has managed the summer bridge program at the school for the past 3 years. The goal of the leadership training program is to have students practice the concept of servant leadership while implementing projects for the community.

In her spare time she is an active volunteer for the American cancer society. She served as the Chair of the Hawaii Pacific Relay for Life task force for 6 years and also served as a member of the Relay For Life National Advisory for four years.

A mother of three, she enjoys event planning, baking cupcakes and reading.  Her most favorite thing to do is to spend time with her grandsons ‘Aukai, Kala‘i, Nainoa, Colt, Tayden and Luke and baking them their favorite goodies.
