Tūtū and Me Visits Children's Discovery Center

Tūtū and Me - (Mon) September 16, 2019

The Oʻahu Tūtū and Me Traveling Preschool teams took their monthly huakaʻi in August to the Hawaiʻi Children's Discovery Center in Honolulu.

Our programs always love visiting the center and experiencing the many hands-on exhibits it offers, but this month's visit was even more special -- for the month of August, our Tūtū and Me Traveling Preschool program had a learning theme of "all about me."

Using state-of-the-art technology, the Center provides a "window to the world" and the opportunity for children to explore and discover things about themselves and the world through play.

"This field trip is important because it allows our keiki not only to learn all about themselves, but to learn about other cultures as well," says Teaching Assistant Makana Isaacs-Acasio.

Mahalo nui loa to the Hawaiʻi Children's Discovery Center for hosting our Tūtū and Me ʻohana! Be on the lookout next month for Tūtū and Me Oʻahu's huakaʻi to the Polynesian Cultural Center.
